Another one? I hope I am not mistaking bark patterns for miners, but this looks like others I've found on other hosts. I guess yet another one to look for...

Moved
Moved from Unidentified Leaf Mines.

This one is somehow not totally convincing, but I don't know what else it could be. Hopefully you'll find better examples eventually.

I wasn't completely convinced
I wasn't completely convinced either. I did find other specimens on the same plant, but I've never seen it anywhere else. Could it just be natural growth patterns on the stem, and perhaps it isn't caused by an insect at all? I just wasn't sure if Baccharis did that. I could send the other two I have...not sure they would be any more convincing, but I'll check them over again and see...

Not sure
The way these lines go diagonally in some places rather than ~parallel with the stem is pretty suspicious, but I think we won't know for sure until you can find a fresh example.

Do you wish to see a specimen
Do you wish to see a specimen? I am still unsure if these are mines, but they are consistent with some of the patterns made by other stem miners I have seen.
