Bee Fly - Xenox tigrinus

Bee Fly - Xenox tigrinus
Canton, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, USA
June 1, 2019
Size: 5/8 inch
It’s certainly Xenox, but I can’t tell which species. Found outside my home in early evening in early summer, not doing anything particularly conspicuous.

You're quite welcome :)
Moved from ID Request.

I wasn't sure whether to keep the pic or not, but I see that it's our first image for June in MA.

X. tigrinus.
It's the only species in the East.

Welcome to BugGuide!

Thank you!
Thank you Ken, much appreciated! I’ve been a ghost user for a few months now, finally joined. Love the site, such an important and awesome resource. Thanks for what you do!
