Size: Approx 1.25 Inch
This strange insect which I have never seen before was on my garage door trim for a long time.

Wheel Bug
Thank you for the ID. This one remained motionless of the white door trim of my house for several hours. It surprised me that it would stay in such an obvious spot when it is equipped withe very good camouflage for trees. When I went out with a ruler to get an approximate measurement it started crawling slowly. When I came out a couple of hours later it was gone.
