Tussock Moth? - Panthea

Tussock Moth? - Panthea
Snohomish, Snohomish County, Washington, USA
September 21, 2017
Caterpillar found two years ago beneath a large Douglas fir, surrounded by other coniferous and deciduous trees and shrubs. It was a bit smaller than an inch. I've previously found Lophocampa roseata and L. maculata within a few feet.

Moved from ID Request.

Panthea
Likely Panthea virginarius, but far west of my knowledge.

It does look like those larvae! Just glancing at the results for the species, it looks like there was at least one of the caterpillars found in my county (same year). Thanks!
