Moved from Ground Beetles.

Carabidae : Harpalini
is a safe bet. Your initial guess of Harpalus is reasonable but I favor cousin Anisodactylus sanctaecrucis based on pronotal shape, brownish elytra, short metatarsi, and "10 mm". In future please try to get a *perpendicular* shot of entire body plus another closeup *perpendiclar* shot of just pronotum. Your third shot could be an esthetically pleasing one from the side (like yours here). When a side shot is submitted alone, it can make carabid identification quite difficult.

Perpendicular shots added
Peter, are the additional shots good enough to make an identification? I'll try to get these angles on the Carabids from now on.
Thanks for your help.

Anisodactylus sanctaecrucis
seems now secure based on your very nice extra shots. Thanks!
