Lethocerus americanus

Lethocerus americanus
Blanchard township, Driftless Prairies, Lafayette County, Wisconsin, USA
April 21, 2014
We were black lighting and heard him coming. We knew it couldn't be a bird as it was too late. A totally ungraceful landing, floundering a bit, hung around for some photos, then crawled to the edge of the deck and dropped. I don't normally add stories, but some photos deserve story. This one made a lasting impressionn!!
