Plume Moth

Plume Moth
Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, USA
October 15, 2019
It emerged from the pupa sometime during the night. I saw it on the wall of the container when I went to the bathroom in the morning. I took it outside for some photos in the sun, then left it on the side of the house, where it stayed for about 7 hours in the sun. I checked again after a total of 10 hours and it was gone.

I was looking and found the genus Platyptila, which looks very similar, but the site I looked at was for British Pterophorids.

The snapdragon I originally found it on was in a small raised planter at the park, with only 3 or 4 other plants within a large range. If it's needed to help determine ID, I can go back and find what the other plants are.
