Aradus - Aradus unnamed-ariz - Male
Onion Saddle, Chiricahua Mts., Cochise County, Arizona, USA
June 28, 2001
Size: 5.7 mm
TAMUIC specimen; can't figure it out, looks close to A. vandykei V.D.

update: "I see why it's a mystery. [it's in the group] where the antennae are wider than the profemur [and] anterolateral margin of pronotum not denticulate; [this leaves us] with intectus (pretty sure it's not), saileri (from Alaska so unlikely), apicalis (it's not), or vandykei, none of which are known from Arizona. As vandykei is described to be very similar to apicalis, behrensi, and duzeei, it seems very unlikely that it is that species; plus, vandykei has the tip of the scutellum pale. Sooooo, ... it looks new." --Dan Swanson, pers. comm.

i'll send him the specimen
