Fly to ID - Phaonia
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Size: 3/8th inch
Would like to know if this is a Stomoxys calcitrans, a stable fly. If not correct ID would be appreciated. Thanks.

if any other fly on this page is Phaonia, then this one is, too

No Stomoxys
this is no Stomoxys. I suspect it is one of the larger Anthomyiidae.
