Cecidomyiidae, folded leaf galls on Rose
Quarry Prairie, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
July 3, 2019
June 28, 2019: collected folded leaf galls on a native rose in a small prairie remnant
before July 20, 2019: larvae exited the galls
rearing unsuccessful

Dr. Gagné's Red Book, page 267:
"3a Folded terminal leaflet ... Contarinia sp. and Dasineura sp."
