Chrysoperla rufilabris - Chrysopa oculata

Chrysoperla rufilabris - Chrysopa oculata
Blanchard township, Driftless Prairies, Lafayette County, Wisconsin, USA
August 30, 2015
Came to black light

Moved from Chrysoperla.

Chrysopa oculata
Chrysoperla species won't have such intricate facial markings (and also have slightly different wing venation). The paired spots along the prothorax, four spots on top of the head, and distinctly red-tinted "Y" going down between the antennal pedicels are rather unique to Chrysopa oculata. Beautiful photo!
