Conocephalus fasciatus - male

Conocephalus fasciatus - Male
Cornell Campus, Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York, USA
October 21, 2019
Calling males quite common on this sunny, 65-degree F day among clumps of bunchgrasses on a sparsely vegetated hillside (just south of the intersection of Campus Rd and Judd Falls Rd). Interestingly, there were no C. brevipennis at this location despite that species being the overwhelmingly more abundant species in the area.
