Orange-winged fly - Mesembrina latreillii

Orange-winged fly - Mesembrina latreillii
Vermont, USA
May 31, 2004
I see these all the time in northern hardwood forests.

Moved
Moved from Mesembrina.

Mesembrina sp. (Muscidae)
Combination of orange-yellow basis of wings, their venation and general habitus leave no doubt. Very simlar species occur in Western Europe, in woody biotopes too.

One more time
Empty - my mistake.
