Pholcus -first molt - Pholcus phalangioides

Pholcus -first molt - Pholcus phalangioides
Brossard, Quebec, Canada
This is the first molt of the spiderlings. As far as I could make out they didn't feed until after the first molt. The second molt spiderlings however were much more active and survived by cannibalizing their siblings. Whether they resorted to this because they were captive and had no other choice, or if they would eat each other in 'the wild' I don't know.
