Sensu strictu means that it is restricted to Euconnus in the strict or narrow sense, which in this case is the subgenus Euconnus.

. This must be a formerly large genus which is now being broken up into smaller units, and this species will still be in this genus even under the new understandings. Maybe Vassili will be able to tell us more about what is happening in this genus.
