Cricket - Oecanthus - female

Cricket - Oecanthus - Female
Grand Canyon Village, Coconino County, Arizona, USA
September 2, 2019

The black antennae with hint of reddish at the base... the Western US indicates a member of the varicornis species group. This female appears to have a spermatophore attached.

Can't say for certain whether this is a brown form of Oecanthus californicus, O. texensis or possibly even a dark version of O. californicus pictipennis. The last species is generally more of a olive green color where this one shows brown.
