Metallic Wood Boring Beetle - Anthaxia quercata - Male
Fort Bragg, Cumberland County, North Carolina, USA
May 16, 2005
Size: around 5 mm
These were all over the place this morning. ID based on the other photo I posted last year that Philip ID'd as this genus.

Moved
Moved from Anthaxia quercata.

Anthaxia quercata male

Agrilus?
The shape reminds me more of Agrilus sp., but I'm looking forward to a second opinion:-)

Anthaxia sp.
Agrilus are typically more slender and the pronotnum is distinctively shaped. Additionally, the coloration pattern of the above speciman is quite typical of the genus.
