Mound ants with aphids - Formica exsectoides - female

Mound ants with aphids - Formica exsectoides - Female
Chesterfield, New Hampshire, USA
September 16, 2007
These ants had several large mounds nearby. Are they Formica exsectoides?

I think so...
Because key features seem to match well with the Alleghany Mound Ant, namely shape of vertex visible on leftmost worker and shape of 1rst urtotergite visible on the one at right.
