Reduviidae or something else?

Reduviidae or something else?
Champaign, Champaign County, Illinois, USA
November 10, 2019
Size: about 1 inch; 2.5 cm
This was sitting on the outside of my garage door, right at the top seal, as if it were waiting to sneak inside. I caught it under glass and in the process it lost its right, rear leg. After posing for a couple photos it flew away.
I'm seeing more and more of these outside and wonder if they are so-called "kissing bugs" or something else. Perhaps a "squash bug" or a "brown bug?"
