I believe this is buprestis decora, but I await confirmation with someone of more knowledge than myself.

Sure does look like a Buprest
Sure does look like a Buprestis decora to me. I have only had the pleasure of holding one of these bups and unfortunately it wasn't mine. It belonged to a fellow bug guy, I id'ed it and ended up being a new state record for TN. I believe I have a pic but have not posted it on here yet. Great find, Scott!

quite distinctive sp., not likely to be confused with anything else in Florida [no salisburyensis]. nice shots

This insect flew to me and landed on my shirt. It was pure luck that allowed me to take these photos. Being in the right place at the right time! Thanks, Phillip.
