Female midge?

Female midge?
Presidio, Dragonfly Creek, San Francisco County, California, USA
October 1, 2019
Size: ca 4 mm
Caught in Malaise trap 28 Sep - 5 Oct 2019. I thought this would prove to be a mycetophilid, but I am not finding ocelli and there seems to be a longitiudinal ridge on the post-notum, so maybe a female chironomid?

Thanks John - I was afraid of that - I'll take another look for them.

Look next to eyes
This is Mycetophilidae. Many species have ocelli touching the compound eyes.

Added -
several specimen photos. Those lateral ocelli are tricky buggers, small and right next to compound eyes as you predicted. Is the key in MND still reasonable for this family? I tentatively keyed this to Mycetophila based on wing veins, arrangement of microtrichia, anepisternal bristles (I think, see pic).
