sedge sprite - Lestes dryas

sedge sprite - Lestes dryas
University of Alaska T-Field, Fairbanks North Star County, Alaska, USA
June 29, 2019
I believe this is Nehalennia irene, sedge sprite. A mature male that has lost much of its green coloration with age. But I would love to get feedback from experts.

Teneral male Lestes dryas
With those claspers, that is a teneral Lestes (spreadwing). The configuration of the paraprocts looks good for L. dryas since they appear bulbous at the tip. That is an interesting location for that species!!! Only 2 Lestes species have been reported in Alaska - L. dryas and L. disjunctus and records for L. dryas are very limited. Please submit to Odonata Central for vetting. I showed this to someone else and he agreed with that ID based on available picture.

Excellent! Thank you!
