This is whiter than I expected from the books. Does the desert have a local form ?

Pyrgus albescens is almost certainly correct
Since P. communis isn't likely to be down in the desert. Always inpossible to absolutely certain without disection.

However, yes this is in this group, and yes, a bit whiter than usual, but not out of the ordinary.
