Red Paper Wasp - Polistes exclamans - Male
Mathews County, Virginia, USA

On a winter Camellia bush, Mathews County, VA, very near to the Chesapeake Bay shoreline. I thought it resembled Polistes bellicosus. Sorry for the poor photo, it is the best one I have. Thank you in advance for any information.
