Possible Giant Milkweed Bug? - Leptoglossus ashmeadi

Possible Giant Milkweed Bug? - Leptoglossus ashmeadi
St. Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida, USA
April 6, 2008
Size: body about 25 mm
not found on milkweed, didn't see any nearby. I looked through the guide for Leaffooted bugs and didn't see a match. The image for Giant Milkweed bug had different markings. Any ideas?

Great find!
It´s one of the few leaf-footed still lacking in the Guide, and a rare one probably: Leptoglossus ashmeadi (fits description found here).
There already was a species page for it, but no image - now is!

Wow!
That's pretty cool. I added some more images of it. Maybe someone can tell me what sex it is. And thank you so much for the ID!
