yes, that would make the authors happy to hear. But as you've probably noticed, the true experts seems to often have some gripe about the reference, usually regarding their area of expertise. So I figure I'll offer the IDs as best possible from D&A, and let the experts be experts when they get around to correcting those that need correction.

yes, Haliplus sp.
yes, this is a species of Haliplus - differs from Peltodytes by the 3 sterna visiable vs. only 1 for Peltodytes. D&A list some 20 species from our region, but yours appears to key fairly well to H. fasciatus Aube. Most of our other Haliplus appear to have a lot less black markings. Yours also matches well the illustration in Dillion2.
