I added one more shot that might show a little more of the face and the side. That's about all the angles I have for this beetle.

now that we got your other one sorted out , this one looks at least similar. A lateral view should confirm things. And a head-on shot might be interesting, as I think I see two spots on the Front plus part of the "M" basally on the head. But other Hydaticus clues are pointed outer hind tibial spur (and round front tarsi pad gets at least in the ballpark of Hydaticus).
