Rove Beetles

Is it usual behavior for Rove beetles to be apparently eating pollen (I guess that's what they were doing) in the blossoms of a flowering tree or plant ?

I was taking pics yesterday and saw lots of them doing this. I took some pics but I didn't like the way they turned out but I was just curious about them doing this.

May not be rove beetles.
Their are certain sap beetles (Nitidulidae, genus Conotelus) that bear a strong resemblance to rove beetles; there are also some longhorned beetles that have abbreviated wing covers. I'd check those out and see if one of them matches.

I re-took some pics yesterday that I'm going to post shortly.
