Actually is Nannocyrtopogon vanduzeei, an uncommon species that is so far known only from Ventura Co., Calif. (this species was actually described from Lake Piru!). Males of vanduzeei (this is one) are distinctive because most of the abdomen is covered with gray, which leaves only narrow black stripes & spots; most Nannocyrtopogon have much blacker abdomens. The pulvilli must be present - just very hard to see because of the rock background. Ablautus spp. sit on sand or gravel, really never on rocks. Nannocyrtopogon most often are found on rocks or on sticks close to the ground. A great find and great pic!
