Lepidopsocidae? - Echmepteryx hageni

Lepidopsocidae? - Echmepteryx hageni
Vashon, King County, Washington, USA
August 13, 2018
Found on wood siding of garage. Notable for short, incredibly fast bursts when moving from one place to another.

This sure looks like one of the Lepidopsocidae to my eye, but I'm stumped as to which species it might be... The only PNW records I can find for this family are for Pteroxanium kelloggi, but I was under the impression that that species was uniformly brachypterous. Hoping Diane and/or Dr. Mockford can shed some light on this lovely mystery. :)

Range expansion?
Thank you so much for providing a name for this beautiful psocid! I've been wondering about its identity for quite some time now. I note that the range listed on the info page is currently as follows:

e. US & adjacent Canada (NB-FL to ON-MN-TX)

Seemingly, this data was taken directly from Dr. Mockford's 1993 publication. However, there are a few records from CA, and now also from WA. Do you have any qualms with my updating this on the info page?

I think so!
We saw one too, in a very wild habitat where it is very likely not introduced: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/176703063.
