Ectopsocus female - briggsi? - Ectopsocus briggsi - Female
Presidio, Dragonfly Creek, San Francisco County, California, USA
August 6, 2019
Size: FW length 3.5 mm
Caught in Malaise trap 3-10 August 2019. Based on the distal lobes of the subgenital plate, this might be E. briggsi? I am seeing the notes from Dr. Mockford about the difficulty in separating this briggsi from californicus - maybe I should leave all of these at "Ectopsocus sp."?

Moved from Ectopsocus.

I think you can safely call this one E. briggsi
Your images are good enough to determine that: "apical lobes of subgenital plate decidedly curved inward (Fig. 221) as in E. briggsi. Not " apical lobes of subgenital plate short, less than 1.5X their basal width (Fig 223). North American Psocoptera. Also the spots at wing margin are not as distinct as in E. californicus.

Thanks -
very much, Diane!
