E. hyalinus females - light and dark forms - Elipsocus hyalinus - Female
Presidio, Dragonfly Creek, San Francisco County, California, USA
August 13, 2019
Size: FW length 4.9 mm
Caught in Malaise trap 10-17 August 2019. Eleven females in this vial. I'm generally finding a mixture of darker and paler individuals from this trap (paler on right, darker on left in this photo), I guess the paler ones are just teneral? There doesn't seem to be a cline between the two though, so I'm wondering if there might be two "morphs" here?
