Size: around 10mm
We went out walking early in the day, and found these little wasps clinging to the bushes. There were quite a few.

I suspect P. hirsutipennis although am uncertain.

What on earth are they doing posed like that?
I've seen digger wasps doing the same thing but have no clue what it means.

they are "sleeping".
