It looks like Hesperolabops species.
Hesperolabops species is called Cactus Plant Bug.
According to PBI, Hesperolabops gelastops among the species of the Genus was recorded in Texas. However, the description of Hesperolabops gelastops seems somewhat different from your Mirid especially in color since your bug is entirely black.
Compare with
an image of Hesperolabops gelastops
found in Google.
According to the key described in
Froeschner
, your black bug should be Hesperolabops nigriceps that was recorded in Mexico, as the name "nigriceps" indicates.
What do you think about?

Honestly,
I can't give an opinion one way or the other, except that I agree it is not Hesperolabops gelastops. I really have no idea what it is. If you have keyed it out, then I am willing to trust your judgement.

Of course, I am not sure of it.. ^^
At current stage, I cannot be sure of even the Genus. Please wait for another comment. ^^
