A nice worker from 2007 season
And still young and strong; therefore, it had emerged as imago at earliest mid-december. This could well have been a member of a biennial colony, unless really cold weather has taken place later in winter.

Late winter has been mild and wet. There probally has been a lot of water in underground nesting sites.
