This appears to have a green abdomen.

Eriocampa ovata (L.)
Tenthredinidae, Allantinae. An alder-feeding sawfly. The abdomen should be black (I hope).

Another terrific image, Tom. Once we stop getting sawflies posted, I will have Dave Smith go through our pages and offer IDs. Might be a long while before results, but we'll try.

 
good variety
There seems to be quite a few sawflies popping up. Some vastly different species, and others with only subtle differences.
The Bug Fair sounded interesting, sorry I couldn't be there, a little too far from the east coast.
