It looks like a male twisted-wing parasite.

It is!

Yes, this is a bee parasitized by a strepsipteran. I knew that but am curious as to the bee's ID. Both were dead by the time I found it.

Placement -

I'm no expert, but Borror and Delong makes it sound like stylopids are the only strepsipteran family that parasitizes bees, so can these images be moved there? Or is that too simple - do some of the other nearctic strepsipterans parasitize bees as well?
