P pulchripennis pair - Propsocus pulchripennis - Male Female
Presidio, Dragonfly Creek, San Francisco County, California, USA
August 27, 2019
Size: FW length ca 4 mm
Caught in Malaise trap 24-31 August 2019. Photos of female SGP. I was struck by the unusual sexual dimorphism here - the female (right) seems to have larger eyes than the male!? Is this typical of this species? I can't find anything about relative eye size for this species in Mockford or New.

Nice find!
The sexual dimorphism in 'Psocoptera' is more pronounced in some families than others. In Psocidae it is pronounced, but in other groups less apparent.

Gotcha -
thanks Diane!
