Dargida diffusa

Size: ~ 25 mm.
One of several sweep-netted from prairie restoration after dark (especially Indian grass and big bluestem). Due to a number of rearings simultaneously my notes are less complete and clear than desired but I believe this caterpillar did produce an adult in early May, 2005. These two images are the same caterpillar. Unfortunately, no measurement for the later instar.
