. I finally decided to delve into this genus and it appears to be paying off. According to MONA Fascicle 27-1, the most likely species that look similar to this and at this location would be
canariana
,
grandis
and
spiritum
. This is probably not yellow enough for
canariana
and that species does not have marks for the AM/PM lines. The biggest question that remains for me is if
grandis
can have spots marking the AM/PM lines. The fascicle was not clear about this. However, male of
grandis
have beadlike antennae. This moth has biserrate antennae which would make it
spiritum
, form
lutescens
.
