Spider wasp?

Spider wasp?
New London County, Connecticut, USA
September 12, 2019
Size: Please see remarks
For size reference, in the top left corner is an Asclepias Incarnata seed.
This wasp was actively hunting a spider.
Observed at 2:25pm.
Lived underground.
Body color was bluish black. Not bright. Not metallic. No obvious sheen.

While hunting, it moved fast. “Bounced” from spot to spot. Like half flying- half running.
After catching it, she dragged the spider. Then dropped it, ran off zig zag, circled back, dragged it again, and so forth. Finally, she dragged it underground.
