Flower beetle
This is Asydates irwini, a common species in the deserts of CA and southwestern UT. This is a new record for NV, but not unexpected. Like many species of Asydates, A. irwini is active during the hot dry summer and fall, and can often be found in numbers on Stephanomeria pauciflora.
