leaf beetle - - Brachypnoea tristis

Medford, (~25 miles east of Philadelphia, PA) Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
Size: 3.8mm

Any chance this is Phaedon desotonis Balsbaugh, an introduced pest, based on Phaedon desotonis Balsbaugh (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae), a Coreopsis (Asteraceae) pest new to Florida ? Unfortunately I lost the exact date (2007) and any plant type associated with where I found this one, other than in my NJ backyard. I do have some of the stated Coreopsis spp. host plants around the flowerbeds. The greenish pronotum and elongate shape seem to fit the description well. As always, suggestions and corrections welcome :)

Brachyphnoea tristis

It is Brachyphnoea tristis, the most common species. Your specimen is some greener than the ones we already have and also the legs are reddish. This is why I hesitated at first, but it is within the species variation I´ve now discovered.

Brachyphnoea

no, not even the same subfamily. I agree it looks similar. This is Brachyphnoea though, an Eumolpinae.
