copper-colored blow fly - Lucilia - male

copper-colored blow fly - Lucilia - Male
Hayden Prairie State Preserve, Howard County, Iowa, USA
July 13, 2019
Size: ~8 mm
This fly has the colors to be called a bronze bottle fly, but I know there are other blow flies that can be bronze-colored too. I don't know if my photos are good enough to get even a genus ID since I only have views from above, but this is the first bronze blow fly I've found and am interested in knowing more about it.

Lucilia
Lucilia, but despite the color it is not cuprina.

Thanks for your comments about this copper-colored blow fly, John. When I saw the distribution for L. cuprina, I was skeptical about that species as a possibility.
