Alpheioides parvulalis? - Alpheioides parvulalis

Alpheioides parvulalis? - Alpheioides parvulalis
Padre Island National Seashore, Kleberg County, Texas, USA
December 27, 2019
Size: ~7 mm TL
Came to sheet lit by Coleman lantern on the South Beach section of the national seashore. Especially looks similar to some of the images at Barcode of Life. However, it does not appear that this species is typically found at coastal locations.

TENTATIVE PLACEMENT
Moved from Butterflies and Moths.

See for my comments. I don't really trust any of these placements from my experience, but the evidence seems to be piling up for brown/rust specimens so I think it is best to keep them together.

Thanks Ann!
Really nice to have somebody from Texas on board! I have been spending a lot of time there and am always coming across uncommon and difficult to ID moths.
