Dasychira tephra? - Dasychira - female

Dasychira tephra? - Dasychira - Female
Pine Brook, Isanti County, Minnesota, USA
August 5, 2005
Size: WS 45 mm.
Laid eggs which I apparently did not rear. Compared with the MONA plates figures of females, tephra seems the best match, the others being (to my eye) more contrasty. This specimen is obviously somewhat worn, though. Also considering obliquata and basiflava. The dark streaks seem very/too? heavy for obliquata. Also, Ferguson (1978 MONA Fascicle 22.2) says streaked females of vagans are unknown.
