black etched prominent
I am brand new to this site and to moths. I was trying to get confirmation that I had correctly ID'd this moth correctly. If the image was removed from ID request what did I do wrong so that I could achieve my objective or have I interpreted ID request incorrectly. Your assistance and comments would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance

Yes
I moved the image for you, since you already had the correct ID. The current location is (always) listed above the image.
Whenever an image is placed at the genus or species level, the scientific name is automatically added to the image title. (-
Tecmessa scitiscripta
)
You did nothing wrong. Click on the info tab for more info about this species.
Please make sure to always select "Adult" or "Immature", whenever you know the age or stage of your bugs.
