Thx Richard! I do have more shots of this critter if they'd help in keying him out further. I put what I thought were the best two up, but I don't know which features would be useful, so there may be another shot that isn't as good overall but shows something in particular.

Sphecodes of western USA are unrevised
so species ID is very difficult even with specimens
