Weird looking caterpillar. Found on apple tree.
Please help with ID.

Red-spotted Purple it is
Other option - Viceroy - has smaller yellowish/orange humps, usually longer more slender spines behind head, and more prominent scoli (spiny bumps) on back. It also nearly always feeds on Willows in the Plains / Prairie regions, and this one is not on Willow.

Limenitis
could be Red-spotted Purple, though I think other Limentis spp. are similar
