Dytiscus cordieri - male

Dytiscus cordieri - Male
Belgrade, Kennebec County, Maine, USA
November 18, 2004
Size: 27 mm
Collected at UV light. Over the years, I saw quite a few of these flying around lights, but they were definitely less common in this location than the much larger D. verticalis. The other species to consider would be D. fasciventris, but I don't think that species has such a broadly outlined pronotum. 44.5438, -69.7955
